FAQs

  • Unleashed is Utah’s premier boarding and daycare facility exclusively for dogs. We offer Boarding, Daycare, and Grooming services in our state of the art, luxury Hotel.

  • We are located at:

    5241 S Commerce Dr, Murray, UT 84107

  • For ALL services offered at Unleashed, we require proof of vaccination, some brief paperwork, and a temperament assessment for dogs wanting to socialize with other guests. For dogs that will not be socializing with other dogs, we still require a “meet and greet” at the facility to ensure all dogs are comfortable staying at our facility.

    What vaccinations do you require?
Unleashed requires current vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, and Bordetella. You’re welcome to bring in your vaccination records when you visit or have your vet email us a copy of your vaccination record(s) to info@dogsunleashed.com.

Please note that if your vaccinations have expired or if they are being administered for the first time there are different waiting periods before we allow your dog to stay with us.

Bordetella is required to be administered annually (every year). In the event that the Bordetella vaccine has never been given, or if it has lapsed, we require a 7 day waiting period before your dog may stay with us.

Rabies, Parvo, and Distemper require a 24 hour waiting period for the initial administration or in the event that vaccination has lapsed.

  • A temperament assessment is a process where our staff introduces your dog to our facility and then to other dogs while closely monitoring its behavior and response to the new environment.  All guests are required to undergo a temperament assessment to ensure that they get along with other dogs (unless the dog is not fixed or already known to not play well with other dogs or if you’d simply prefer your dog not socialize). This ensures the safety of all our guests.  Temperament assessments are generally offered between 9 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday by appointment. Please give us a call to let us know you’re coming in. We want to insure that we have adequate time to get to know your dog.

For dogs that will not be socializing with other dogs, we still require a “meet and greet” at our facility.  This provides us the opportunity to introduce your dog to our staff and our facility to ensure they will be comfortable staying with us.  We have found that these visits create a familiarity for the dogs and reduce their stress while staying away from home.

  • At Unleashed we strive to welcome all dogs that are old enough to be fully vaccinated (generally four months or older), regardless of breed, temperament, or in-tact status (whether spayed or neutered). We do limit our play groups though to those dogs that play well with other dogs and those that are spayed or neutered (puppies between 4-7 months can play without having been fixed).  Any dog that creates a threat to the safety of our staff or other dogs may be excluded from our services.

  • Currently we do not require reservations for boarding or daycare.  HOWEVER, reservations are encouraged in order to guarantee your dog a space, ESPECIALLY around major Holidays.

To make a reservation call us at (385) 309-DOGS, or feel free to stop by the hotel for a visit.  Before making a reservation we will need your New Guest Registration completed – don’t worry, it doesn’t take long.

  • Because boarding can be an anxious experience for many dogs there are a few things we encourage you to bring. While we can provide food, we encourage you to bring your own food as many dogs are sensitive to sudden dietary changes. It’s okay however, if you forget your dog’s food. You can purchase food from us for $4 per meal.

You’re welcome to bring food, medication, a leash, one toy, and one bedding item that will help your dog feel more at home.  Any items in excess of this will not be accepted.  Please do not bring bowls or dishes or scoops (exclusions for slow feeders, if needed).  Please be reasonable as excessive items have a greater likelihood of not being returned.

  • Of Course, we can administer medications for a fee. Please provide us with detailed instructions as to its administration. Please provide clearly labeled medications, dosages, and times of administration.  Administration of Pills is $10 per visit and injections are $15.

  • Unleashed is open 7 days a week and on all holidays.  Monday through Friday we are open 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Weekends and Holidays 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

  • Starting September 1st we will be updating some of our policies that directly affect our customers.

    Packages Will Expire

    • Both boarding and daycare packages will expire 90 days from purchase.

    • What does that mean? A package purchased on Sept 1 will only be valid through Nov. 30.  If any passes go unused, they are non refundable.

    • Packages that were purchased prior to September 1 will not have an expiration date.

Active/ Retired Military and First Responders Will Receive a 10% Discount

    • This includes police, EMTs, military, and firefighters.

    • This is for Active or Retired (served 20 yrs. or more) personnel.

    Boarding is a 24-hour Period

    • Boarding is calculated from the time of drop off.  The owner has 24 hours to pick up their dogs.  After the 24 hour period a $20 fee will be charged for a late checkout.

    • For example, if an owner drops off at noon on Monday, they have until Noon on the day they pick up before a late checkout is assessed.

    • A daycare turned boarding will be charged similarly.  If a daycare dog stays overnight, the owner has 24 hours to pick up before being charged a late pick-up ($20).
